HOUSTON (January 28, 2015) – Mobil Steel International, Inc. management will serve impact roles for the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. – Greater Houston Chapter during 2015. President and CEO Leonard A. Bedell was named to the 2015 ABC Houston board of directors and will serve as trustee for ABC Houston’s Political Action Committee (PAC). Alongside Bedell, Stuart Robles, Business Development Manager for Mobil Steel, was reelected as a PAC trustee for the next two years. Additionally, Robles was appointed welcome committee chair under ABC Houston’s membership services division.
Bedell, who has been president and CEO of Mobil Steel since 2005, brings knowledge and experience to the board of directors, having previously served as Treasurer of the ABC Houston chapter. Bedell’s experience also extends to the PAC, where he is serving the second year of his elected trustee term. Bedell is a past ABC PAC member of the year. Mobil Steel also is a past recipient of ABC’s business excellence award and ABC member of the year.
Robles, who joined Mobil Steel in 2013, will bring his business development expertise to the welcome committee. ABC Houston’s 2011 and 2012 Volunteer of the Year, Robles will continue to offer his time to the organization by recruiting and educating new ABC members about programs and benefits of ABC Houston.

ABC Houston is an affiliate of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., a national association that protects free market enterprise and business freedoms of commercial and industrial contractors. ABC offers member training, education and networking. Additionally, ABC and its members support good government and fair and reasonable regulation through active participation in local, state and federal legislation.
Mobil Steel employees have both benefited from the ABC training and education programs and taught some of the training courses. Mobil Steel employees also participate in forums to educate agency and elected officials on the construction industry.
